“We purchased the elertus to monitor our home when we are gone on extended trips away. Our primary concern is making sure that our house is sufficiently heated on cold winter days. We set the sensor to contact us when the heat in our house gets lower than 50 and enjoy checking in remotely on the conditions in the house on particularly cold days. The weekly report that elertus sends out bolsters our confidence in the fact that it is working. So far, this has been a great purchase!”

“I needed something to read the temperature in my crawl space at our vacation home and this sensor does the trick. I can check in and see the temperature and humidity. I am able to control my furnace thru another device so it’s great peace of mind on very cold nights to check in and see what the temperature looks like or be alerted if it drops below my set threshold. “My issue was loosing heat because of a power loss. All other systems required power to operate. This unit runs on batteries and with a battery backup on my WIFI I am protected. No monthly fees! I check it with my cell phone from anywhere. Excellent product and support. Can’t say enough.”

“I purchased this device over a year ago to monitor the wine locker in my home. The sensor was easy to set up and has worked flawlessly to keep me informed about the temperature and humidity. It also lets me know when I am away if anyone has opened the door or left the light on. It is easy to turn on or off any alert at home or on the road. The sensor is in a wooden wine locker quite a distance from my wireless router and there had been no problem with connectivity. I have not had to change the batteries since I installed the device. It is great knowing that my expensive wines are being constantly monitored.”

“I have two of these now, one for a handgun safe, one for a long-gun safe. Purchased because I have some older kids that are home alone from time to time, and I wanted to keep an eye on the safes. These have both been ROCK solid for me since purchase. Connecting the devices to my WiFi was easy, setup was easy. The only real problem I had was getting the door sensors lined up on my long-gun safe, but that was my issue not theirs. Open/Close/High Temp/Low Temp/Low Battery – all can be set to notify you. I’m in and out of these pretty frequently, and it works every time, and I’m not sure it’s ever taken more than 5 seconds for my phone to light up. If I open the safe I’m typically notified just after I open the door (as I bumped it while entering the code), then again since the door has opened, and a third after it closes. The IPhone app also works quite well for me. To note a few things from other reviews, I did have a question when installing the first one and called the 800# that came with the paperwork and immediately spoke with a very nice lady that was quite helpful. I also have a great WiFi signal in the rooms where these are, I’m not sure if perhaps a bad WiFi signal might be to blame for the slowness noted by some others. If you’re not sure if your signal is good, put a tablet/laptop in the safe while streaming a video with the volume up so you can hear it…and wait a few minutes to see if the signal/buffer gets hosed.”
